Title & cover photo
Our search engine is organized by experience, showing each Volunteer Position's title and cover photo. That means that, when travelers look for an experience in our platform, the first thing they see is your Position's title and cover photo.
And that's why it's very important to have an attractive title and awesome photo as cover. While the title is meant to express your place's atmosphere and experience in few words, the cover photo should make your Position stand out and get the traveler's attention as fast as possible.

Once travelers get interested and click on your Volunteer Position, they will have access to informations like hours of help per week, days off per week, benefits and minimum and maximum time to stay. However, to have more details about the experience itself, they will read the Position's description.
The description should be a complement of the title, where the whole experience is described in details, with informations about your place's atmosphere. In that way, travelers will have as much information as possible even before contacting you, which will save you a lot of time and energy, because it will allows you to only contact Worldpackers who are really engaged and committed in collaborating with you.

Have similar skills for one position
A Volunteer Position consists in the tasks that the Worldpackers will help you with. Therefore, it's really important to be as accurate as possible with the skills of each Position. Worldpackers recommend a pre set group of skills depending on the tasks you need the travelers to help.
For example, most of our hostels have positions with skills like Reception, Housekeeping and Cleaning, because they're usually done by the same person in a hostel's operation. Or positions related to content creation goes well with Photography and Video Making skills. That being said, Worldpackers do not recommend to have very different skills (for example, Web Developer and Cleaning) in the same position, because it will be less attractive to travelers.

Shifts and hours of help per week
The shifts and hours of help per week are the most important part of the experience. It's important to always keep in mind that Worldpackers are not employees. Worldpackers are travelers who are interested in cultural exchange and learning experiences in a collaborative way. So, receiving Worldpackers does not mean substituting a hired employee.
Therefore, Worldpackers recommend our hosts to ask for a maximum of 30 weekly hours of help, with 2 days off. In this way, travelers can enjoy their time to know the place, the culture and collaborate with your project or business.
In case you need more than 30 hours of help per week, we advice you to receive more than 1 Worldpacker for the task.

Rewards are perks that hosts offer to travelers. The more awards a traveler get in exchange of help, the more attractive is the experience. From meals to discounts on drinks, our hosts offer rewards that make each experience unique and amazing.
More than just accommodation, we recommend our hosts to offer at least one meal per day (usually breakfast) and 2 days off per week. However, since the rewards are very specific to each host, it's up to you to choose what to offer to provide an incredible experience!

The objective of requirements is to deliver only applications that really matter. Wether if it's a language fluency or age, you can set requirements to receive applications from travelers with specific language fluencies and/or ages. Therefore, travelers who do not match your Volunteer Position's requirements, can't even apply to collaborate with you. And that's really important, because the more requirements your Positions has, less travelers are able to apply to your place.
When setting your requirements, it's possible to check it's Reach. The reach shows the percentage of our travelers that are able to apply to your position. For example, with 0 requirements, 100% of our travelers are able to apply. And, as you put more requirements, a less percentage of travelers can apply to your position.
Length of stay
We recommend an average length of stay of 1 month. Traveler's motivation usually changes after 1 month of help, because they are looking for a culture experience, meeting new people and places.
